Wonder & Wander Institute
The Wonder & Wander Institute is the independent certifying body for the School of Wonder framework. We set the standards, publish the rubric, and certify practitioners who demonstrate mastery of human-centred AI leadership.
Our Principles
Every Wonder Master Practitioner is assessed against the School of Wonder Rubric β a published, transparent framework with four levels of mastery across five schools. No black-box assessment. No pay-to-play certification.
Certification requires demonstrated practice with real audiences. Self-assessment is validated by dual observation β both the candidate and a trained observer assess the same facilitation session.
All certifications are signed off by Sarah Pirie-Nally as Master Examiner. There is no delegation of the final assessment decision. This ensures consistency and integrity across every cohort.
Certified practitioners are listed in the public Wonder & Wander Institute registry. The registry is searchable, current, and shows each practitioner's cohort year β so clients can verify credentials directly.
The Framework
The School of Wonder Rubric assesses practitioners across five interconnected dimensions of conscious AI leadership. Each dimension has four levels, from Autopilot to Wonder Leader.
The capacity to tolerate not-knowing
The capacity to be moved by what matters
The capacity to hold both/and
The capacity to design with intention
The capacity to lead the AI orchestra
The Standard
To be certified as a Wonder Master Practitioner, a candidate must demonstrate Conducting or Wonder Leader level across all five schools, with at least two schools at Wonder Leader.
The Four Levels of Mastery
Autopilot
Rarely demonstrated. Behaviour is reactive, unconscious, or absent.
Awakening
Sometimes demonstrated. Growing awareness but inconsistent application.
Conducting⦠Certification eligible
Usually demonstrated. Consistent, intentional, and effective application.
Wonder Leader⦠Certification eligible
Consistently demonstrated. Exemplary practice that develops others.
Certification Requirements
All five schools at Conducting (level 3) or above
Minimum two schools at Wonder Leader (level 4)
Completion of the residential retreat (FriβSun)
4-week supervised practice arc with evidence portfolio
Capstone assessment reviewed by Master Examiner
Dual observation: self + facilitator assessment aligned
Extended Practice Pathway
Candidates who complete the retreat and practice arc but don't yet meet the Wonder Leader threshold receive an Extended Practice designation and a 6-month resubmission window.

The Master Examiner
Sarah Pirie-Nally is the founding Master Examiner of the Wonder & Wander Institute. Every Wonder Master certification is assessed and signed off by Sarah personally β there is no delegation of the final assessment decision.
This is a deliberate design choice. Certification integrity depends on the consistency and accountability of a single examiner who has developed the framework, taught it across hundreds of leaders, and continues to practise it at the highest level.
