The Origin
She Also Used to Sell Apples From a Red Card Table.
Sarah grew up on an orchard in Hobart. On weekends, she and her siblings would set up a little red card table out the front and sell bags of apples and bunches of flowers to people walking past.
People stopped because they could already see it. Smell it. They knew they wanted it before a word was said.
She’s been putting good things on tables ever since. The tools have changed. The principle hasn’t.

Sarah Pirie-Nally is one of Australia’s most recognised voices at the intersection of human intelligence and artificial intelligence.
She was undiagnosed neurodivergent for most of her life — which she now understands shaped her worldview, her frustration with the status quo, and her lifelong drive to campaign for the underdog and see systems differently.
She was CBA’s first intrapreneur. She became Chief Design Officer of ASB Bank, leading what was called “the new Air NZ of design.” She has keynoted on six continents, written three books, and built AI systems that run real businesses.
She signed Commonwealth Bank as her first client on day one of going out on her own.
She also used to sell apples from a red card table in Hobart. Both things are equally true. That’s the whole point.
