The philosophy
There are two intelligences most people recognise: human intelligence (HI), the capacity for emotion, intuition, creativity, ethics and embodied wisdom, and artificial intelligence (AI), the capacity for pattern recognition, speed, synthesis and scale. The Third Intelligence is neither. It is what emerges from their relationship. Like the way a conversation between two people can produce an insight neither person would have reached alone, TI is the emergent layer, greater than the sum of its parts.
The future isn't Human vs AI. The future is the relationship between Human Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence.
The problem with how most organisations approach AI
Most organisations frame AI as a productivity solution. They implement tools, automate tasks and measure outputs. The human element, culture, meaning, customer connection and ethical judgement, is treated as a constraint to be managed rather than a capability to be amplified. The result is efficient but hollow: faster, but less human; more automated, but less trusted. Third Intelligence is the antidote.
Where it comes from
Sarah developed the Third Intelligence framework through 22 years' experience in senior leadership, including as Chief Design Officer at ASB Bank, combined with her study of psychology (Monash), design thinking and NLP. It is the foundation of her keynotes, advisory and coaching work through Wonder & Wander.
