The Next Evolution: Why I’m Creating Experiences That Include the Whole Family

My girls grew up in the front row of my life’s work.
They’ve been on my hip during interviews on stage, danced through venues as toddlers, high-fived keynote speakers, and curled up backstage during soundchecks. When I became a stepmum, I started inviting my stepkids too — not as an afterthought, but as part of the experience. They weren’t just attending events — they were absorbing transformation by osmosis.
What I didn’t realise at the time was just how powerful that would be.
The Common Language of Shared Growth
Somewhere along the way, we developed a common language. A way of talking about values, creativity, and leadership that came from being in the room together.
Not just any room — rooms full of possibility. Rooms filled with change-makers, astronauts, designers, and wonderers.
One of my stepdaughters still talks about Frances Valentine, the extraordinary designer and entrepreneur who took the time to connect with her. It sparked something in her. Now she’s exploring her own creativity with fresh eyes — not because I told her to, but because she felt it in the presence of someone living it.
Another one of my daughters heard Terry Virts — a former NASA astronaut — speak about leadership from space. She was already curious about photography, but until that moment, it had never occurred to her that you could photograph Earth from orbit. That talk lit her up in a whole new way.
These weren’t just inspirational moments.
They were expansion moments.
They shaped who my kids are becoming — not through lectures, but through experience.
From Personal Practice to a New Public Offering
Over the years, I’ve had dozens of people say:
“I wish my kids could’ve been there.”
“I wish my daughter had heard that.”
“I wish we’d done this as a family.”
And that’s where the shift began.
At first, we built in quiet permission for families within our adult-focused events — letting the “yes” sneak in through the side door. But the truth is, this new category of family development isn’t something that needs to be squeezed in. It deserves a stage of its own.
Because what if family isn’t something you leave behind when you evolve —
…but the ecosystem you evolve with?
Introducing Evolve X Families: A Brave New Category
That’s why we’re launching multi-generational family retreats under the Evolve X banner.
Not a holiday. Not a workshop.
But a brave, wonder-filled space where families can pause, reset, and reimagine — together.
💫 Adults get realignment, clarity, and leadership tools.
🧠 Children get neuroinclusive adventures, creative sparks, and emotional language.
💛 Families get the kind of reconnection that lingers long after the luggage is unpacked.
We’re creating a world where it’s safe to not have it all together — and powerful to grow anyway.
Where We're Headed
The next retreat, Reimagine Fiji, is just the beginning.
We’re building a community where family growth isn’t a side note — it’s the main event. Where transformation isn’t done in isolation, but in relationship.
And where the ripple effect of one family’s evolution can inspire a thousand more.
Because when families evolve together?
The future gets brighter for everyone.
